Message from Dr. Thompson Thank you everyone for the super successful Panther Prowl fundraiser. The fun run turned out great, and we had many staff and parents join us for the run! We are extremely appreciative of all the PTO volunteers, our students, staff, and families who made the Panther Prowl such a fun and successful event. We raised over $64,500 for our school and enjoyed a fun family celebration last Friday evening. We will be holding a school assembly this Friday, where all the top participating students will be recognized, Dr. Thompson will be mummified in toilet paper, and Mr. H will be doing the chicken dance in a chicken suit. Please remind your child to wear their orange Panther Prowl shirt to school on Friday for the assembly!
A big thank you to Heather and Kevin Weirich for putting together this great video of the fun run and getting so many wonderful pictures!
Reminder: there will be no school on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18, for MEA.
If you and your child's other parent are divorced or separated, we encourage you to attend the conference together. We will not be scheduling separate conference times. When you attend the conference together, you both hear the same information from the teacher, and each of you has the opportunity to ask questions to clarify what is being reported.

Reminders Reporting Attendance in Skyward Family Access As the holiday season approaches and families begin planning for trips and vacations, we wanted to remind you that all absences (vacations, religious holidays, doctor appointments, illnesses, family emergencies, etc) should be entered via Skyward Family Access. Families will no longer need to complete a Travel Plan Form when they go on vacation, as all absences are now entered via Skyward Family Access. A few reminders when it comes to attendance:

PTO News Panther Prowl - Thank You! A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the 2019 Panther Prowl our most successful event yet! This event could not be possible without the support of our wonderful gym teacher Mr. H and fabulous principal Dr. Thompson. The day of set-up and logistics are possible because of Mike Iwaskewycz, PledgeStar manager Courtney Myers, day of money counters: Angie Hiller, Mridula Pandy, Kaisa Koivukangas, Ann Nusbaum, Jenni Frank and Megan Westrum, our tech para Virginia Kreisle, t-shirt extraordinaire Shauna Mignone, Steve Podraza and Daily Printing for being our print partners, our fabulous photography and videography team of Heather & Kevin Weirich, all day volunteer Stefanie Larson and our wonderful PTO board of Amy Edwards, Patty Trier, Megan Westrum, Alexia Wierzbicki and Kaisa Koivukangas. Lastly, this event would not be possible without all the generous support of the wonderful students and families at Plymouth Creek Elementary - thank you! Thank you, too, to all the local businesses that so generously donated gift cards for the Panther Prowl After Party: Sunshine Factory, Mini Hops, Culvers, Foss Swim School, Buffalo Wild Wings, Davanni's, and Minneapolis Bouldering.
Box Tops Are Going Digital! If you still have a collection of the traditional clippings, please continue to turn those into your child's teacher, the office, or the container by the gym door, but be aware that the physical Box Tops are being phased out. Plymouth Creek's lifetime earnings for Box Tops is almost $38,000! This is a fantastic program that has benefited our children greatly over the years. Please take a minute to download the new Box Top app, scan your receipts after each shopping trip, and watch our school earnings increase thanks to you!
