Open House is just around the corner! If you haven't already done so, please visit our back-to-school resource page to access our "Flipped Open House" video collection and back-to-school resources. I also wanted to touch upon a topic we'll be circling back to as the school year progresses.
Greenwood staff have started studying Restitution and the research of Diane Gossen. We think this work compliments many of the beliefs and practices we already share. For example, Restitution can build upon our Character Education program by helping students better understand themselves and the unique needs of their classmates.
Ultimately, we want kids to understand mistakes are a normal part of life. Through the lens of Restitution, we can equip kids to try and repair mistakes and move forward with an opportunity to strengthen themselves. In the coming months, we will be sharing more information and we look forward to partnering with you.
Kind regards, Brad Gustafson, Principal
