Coyote Dash is Coming! Our only school fundraiser for the year is here! On Friday, September 27 your kids will be participating in our one and only fun run fundraiser. This is an opportunity to build school spirit and have fun, while raising money for all of the programs that make our school great. This year, we run to fund our annual programs as well as a special technology project. Our goal is to raise $50,000 and with your help, we can achieve that. In order to meet that goal, we need to raise an average of $100 per student at Kimberly Lane Elementary. Please read about how we plan to use these donations.
Donating online is fast and easy, thank you for your support and we can't wait to see you on September 27. The day will be filled with lots of running, cheering, music, inflatables and fun!
Come cheer your kid(s) on. Please park on the street. 8:30-8:50 – Bright Start 9:00-9:20 – 1st Grade 9:50-10:10 – 5th Grade 10:25-10:45 – 2nd Grade 11:15-11:35 – 4th Grade 12:20-12:40 – 3rd Grade 1:20-1:40 – Kindergarten
Did You Know? Attendance Thank you to all of you who are entering your student into Skyward if they are absent! If your student is not going to be in school please report it in Skyward Family Access. This is a district-wide change that we are expecting all families to do starting this year. Emailing your student's teacher is fine, as long as you have entered into Skyward first. Our substitute teachers do not have access to emails which is why it is critical to enter it into Skyward first. Any absence not reported will be considered "unexcused."
Save The Date For The Coyote Jam! As a celebration for the fund raising the kids are doing for the Coyote Dash, we will host the Coyote Jam at Kimberly Lane on Friday, October 4, 6:00-8:00 p.m. This is a free event! Come dance with the DJ and join in the fun! Be looking for a SignUpGenius in upcoming Parent Newsletter. If you have questions, contact Michelle Fuller at michellefuller99@gmail.com.
Reminders Lost and Found Are you missing something? Our lost and found is overflowing. Please have your student check our lost and found to collect missing items. You can also come and look either before school starts or after our day ends.
Volunteer Needs Volunteer this Year! We need volunteers! Remember to go to our volunteer sign-up and let us know what volunteer opportunities you may be interested in. This does not commit you to anything, but allows you to receive more information as those opportunities approach throughout the year. There is something for everyone.
Partners In Art Partners in art volunteers needed. No art back ground is needed. Just a willingness to participate in your own child's classroom. 2-5 hours the entire year. All materials are provided to you along with step by step instruction. If interested, please fill out our volunteer form.
PTA News A great way to find out what is going on at Kimberly Lane is to "like" us on Kimberly Lane PTA Facebook.
Box Top Program is Changing The traditional Box Top clips are being phased out and the program will become digital-only. To participate in the digital program, download the app and scan your store receipt for participating products within 14 days of purchase. The app will automatically add Box Top to Kimberly Lane's earnings online, giving you real time visibility into the school's progress and your family's contributions. Please continue to send in any remaining unexpired Box Tops you have as we phase into the digital program. Remember that the Box Top summer challenge announced last spring runs until October 4. The student/family that submits the most Box Tops in a labelled baggie or on sheet wins a "sweet" prize.
Join the PTA We encourage all parents to join the Kimberly Lane Parent-Teacher Association. Anyone who signs up for the PTA before October 4 will be entered into a drawing to win a free Wayzata t-shirt. Three winners will be drawn. Joining PTA is being an advocate for your child's educational experience at Kimberly Lane.
