Dates to Remember
Breaking News EPay - Student ID Info Please note, it is NOT necessary to have your student's current student id to purchase anything on EPay. We realize that students may not have received their new id in time for beginning of the year purchases due to timing of Lifetouch pictures. Any Wayzata student id that the student has had in the past will work - even a middle school id. This is the case for students entering the upcoming Homecoming Dance on September 14. For questions about the Homecoming Dance, please contact Amy Swenson at 763-745-6605.
Updates Mindfulness Sessions Is your student interested in learning how to reduce stress or anxiety? Mindfulness Sessions are back at Wayzata High School beginning September 11, 2019 and will meet every other Wednesday throughout the school year. Mindfulness is a powerful, research-based practice that can help reduce stress, anxiety, and improve focus and concentration. Each Mindfulness session teaches students basic mindfulness practices and helps develop strategies for self-care and stress reduction. Topics also include: working with difficult thoughts and emotions, managing test anxiety, and cultivating kindness and empathy. Each Mindfulness session occurs during the last 30-40 minutes of a block and rotates through the block schedule each term. Mindfulness is open to any interested students. Students do not need to attend every session to benefit and they are welcome to join at any time. If your student is interested in joining Mindfulness, please have them contact their Alpha Team Social Worker or Counselor to get signed up.
