From the Desk of Dr. G Morning Drop-Off Communication Thank you for all you do to help your child start the day successfully. Families that choose to drop off their child(ren) may do so starting at 7:30 a.m.; this allows us to ensure we have supervision in place as students start to enter the building. Our final bell rings at 7:45 a.m. and students are asked to be in their classrooms by this time. The school day ends at 2:25 p.m. Most of our students take the bus to school each morning, but we recognize some families prefer to drop their child(ren) off. We've noticed things work well when we follow the drop-off process below. Thanks for your cooperation and for helping to keep kids safe.
Parent Resource - Restitution 101 Our school is continuing our Restitution journey and we want to partner with you by sharing information over the course of the school year. Our goal is to strengthen students and empower them to live, learn, and lead with empathy, self-confidence, and the ability to fix mistakes. Part of this work involves teaching students the basic needs. Some families like to mirror language we use in school, so I'm linking a copy of the basic needs in case it's helpful. We're teaching students to meet their needs in an "up and positive way" so you might hear that language as well. Parent-Teacher Conferences are Coming Lastly, we have school-wide dates scheduled for Fall and Spring Conferences on October 10 and March 5. We will also offer flexible conferencing for families. (These times will be available via Skyward Conferencing around September 26.) Thanks again for your support and have a great weekend. If there is anything else we can do to support your family please let me know. Kind regards, Brad Gustafson, Principal

PTA News Grizzly Dash Fundraiser is Underway! On Friday, September 27, our amazing students will participate in the 2019 Grizzly Dash fun run, our largest annual PTA fundraiser. Grizzly Dash will take place by grade during the school day. We run to build school spirit, to have fun while being physically active, and to raise money to support Greenwood! Our fundraising goal this year is $30,000 - we can meet this goal if we average $40 per student.
For the Grizzly Dash, we ask family and friends to support our efforts by pledging donations. All money raised stays at Greenwood, supporting dozens of PTA-sponsored initiatives and events throughout the school year.
On Friday, September 13, your student will bring home a Pledge Packet with all the information you need to know about Grizzly Dash. You can also visit our PTA webpage to find your student's run time, register for your web-based fundraising account, and more. We need many volunteers before and during the Grizzly Dash and Grizzly Gathering. Click the links below to view opportunities and sign up to help make these events possible!
