Dear 9th Grade Students and Families,
In March, all 9th grade students took the ACT Aspire Interim Assessment in English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. Several weeks ago, the individual Interim Student Reports were distributed to students. For general information on how to interpret your or your child's report, please see the ACT document, "Understanding Your ACT Aspire Interim Results".
Note on Predicted Path in Interim Student Score Report
There are four graphs in the student report that show how the student performed in each of the subject areas. Each graph includes the student's score, a dotted line that shows the ACT Interim Readiness Benchmark, and a triangular shaded area that is the predicted path. The predicted path shows typical growth through the end of the school year of all students in the nation who scored at that level. The predicted path can go up or down based on typical growth of all students who take the ACT Aspire test. The predicted path is not a reflection of the individual student's performance. Because we give the ACT Aspire test only once per year, the predicted path does not apply to students in our district.
If you have any questions about the ACT Aspire test, please contact Stacey Lackner, Director of Research and Evaluation, at Stacey.Lackner@wayzataschools.org.
Sincerely,
Stacey Lackner
Director of Research and Evaluation
