From the Principal Dear Families,
Math Night is coming! Due to weather, we had to reschedule Math Night from January. It will now be Monday, April 22, 4:30-5:30 p.m..
Teachers will be on hand to talk about our math program and how we can partner in helping our students, your children, excel in their mathematical thinking. You will get a chance to play math games and connect with teachers from across the school.
Earlier this year, a 4th grader named Ayush gave this public service announcement to the school. I hope his words inspire you to attend Math Night.
Have you ever tried to do your math homework and your parents can't help you?
That's because we're learning math differently than our parents did. In the long run, we might be better than them. But in the meantime, we need to teach our parents how we are doing math.
They need us!
On Monday, we are having math night right here at Birchview. Parents are invited to come to learn how we are learning & they will get to play math games.
We need to help them out.
Please invite your family to Math Night on Monday at 4:30. Bring them back after you get off the bus. Then they can help you with your math.
With something to think about, this is Ayush.
Let's dig in with our CLAWS because we have the (Roar)
We hope to see you Monday, April 22 at 4:30!
Mr. F.

Kids' College - Friday, April 26 Kids' College is an annual event in which Birchview students register for classes that introduce them to new interests, hobbies, cultures or vocation possibilities. The format for the event allows each child to participate in two different classes, each of which is 40 minutes in length. The more variety in the classes offered, the more enjoyable the event is for the kids. We need your help and want to encourage you to be a part of this year's Kids' College. Don't let words like teach, professor, or college scare you. Come and share an interest, hobby, or your vocation with your children's friends and classmates. The instructors do not have to be Birchview parents. If you know someone who would be willing to teach a class, please let us know.
Volunteer Needs Parenting with Vision Parenting with Vision would like a delegate from each school to help plan next years' programs. The committee will meet Friday, April 19 from 10:30 a.m.-noon. If you are interested in representing Birchview and contributing your ideas, please contact Jennifer Robbennolt at jrobbennolt@msn.com for more information.
Get more involved in your child's school while meeting new people and having fun! The PTA needs both event organizers and board members.
