Note from Principal Keffeler Hello Meadow Ridge Families,
As I write this, the building is quiet and the wind is howling outside. Another April blizzard. It definitely threw a wrench in our MCA testing schedule! That said, testing will resume on Friday, so please send your children to school well rested and well fed. We are proud of our academic tradition in Wayzata, and we want our students to do their best.
Good Neighbor: During the design process for Meadow Ridge, one of our guiding principles was being a good neighbor. We wanted the design to be somewhat muted, and have a landscape that contains native perennials. Now that we have a large number of houses to our south, we are asking those families to spread the word about being good neighbors as well. Please make sure all dogs are on a leash and owners clean up after their pets. We certainly don't want dog waste to create unsanitary conditions for our students on the playground and green spaces – and this is happening. We also ask that you reserve the playground for school activities until 6:00 p.m. Students in the Home Base program are outside until that time, and the supervisors can get confused when neighborhood students are coming and going from the playground. This helps everyone maintain a safe environment. We appreciate your cooperation with that!
The Carnival is right around the corner! Please read the information below, as we need donations to make a fun night for our students.
Best, Karen
