Volunteers are welcome to bring their children too! Thank you for all you do to support our students and school!

Summer Reading

What: Book donations are needed! From April 8 - May 3, families are encouraged to send in gently used or new books to help our upcoming Put Your Paws on a Good Book project. Our goal is to get more books in the hands of all Greenwood readers this summer.  We need all kinds of books - easy readers for K-1, all the way up to novels for our 5th graders!

Why:  We want our students to get excited about reading over the summer and have access to new books and high-interest titles. Research shows that kids can lose up to 30% of their reading progress over the summer. Our goal is to invite every student tp choose at least 6 books to take home to read (and keep) over the summer months...that's a lot of books, so we really need your help!

When:  Each K-5 classroom will be collecting books from April 8 - May 3.

Do you know a business or organization willing to give a monetary donation to be used towards books? We'd welcome our community's help on this ambitious project.

We raised over $15,000. Thank you to all the Greenwood families that came to The Selfie Room to visit Grizzy! We had babies to adults wanting to capture a moment and photo with our Greenwood Mascot. Are Your Kids Ready?
Following the Minnesota State Statute 121A.15 (School immunization requirements) and Wayzata Public School Immunization Policy and Regulation, your child will not be able to start or remain enrolled at school without an immunization record that is up-to-date, actively in progress or without a legal exemption. Note: there are additional requirements for Kindergarten and 7th grade. It is best to receive vaccinations from your primary care provider, but in the event that you are unable to see your primary provider or if you do not have insurance that covers the cost of vaccinations, Wayzata Public Schools is a participant in the Park Nicollet Barrier Free Immunization Initiative. This program allows immunization-only visits on a same-day appointment basis, immunizes children without a doctor visit and provides immunizations with no direct charge to families.
