Events for Incoming East 6th Graders
To Parents/Guardians of Incoming 6th Graders,
Welcome to Wayzata East Middle School! There are two upcoming events for your 5th grade student, who will be in 6th grade next year at East.
First, the principal, social worker, and current 6th grade student representatives from East will be visiting with 5th grade students at Plymouth Creek in the morning and Sunset Hill during the afternoon on Monday, March 25. They will share what life is like at East.
Then, we are hosting an open house for 5th graders and their parents/guardians on Tuesday, March 26. Our goal for the evening is to provide an opportunity for you to become acquainted with the building, programs, and people you will see next year. We invite you to stop by between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. This will be an open house format with opportunities for building tours.
Also, most students have selected their music class for 6th grade. Scheduling and staff planning have begun and we need accurate information going forward. If your student wants to make a change, please contact Sarah Clinite, Student Services Secretary, at (763) 745-6230 or sarah.clinite@wayzataschools.org. All changes need to be requested by Friday, April 12.
We look forward to seeing you. If you have any questions, please call (763) 745-6200. Thank you.
