College/Career Planning Day: February 20

Dear Students (and Parents/Guardians),

As you know, Wednesday, February 20, 2019, is College/Career Planning and ACT Testing Date. All grades will engage in meaningful college and career opportunities. Juniors will take the ACT and sophomores will take the PreACT. In addition, WHS will administer the ACT Aspire Periodic Assessment to freshmen.

Seniors are encouraged to plan and engage in meaningful college and career activities outside of school. A list of relevant and meaningful activities have been prepared by WHS Counseling Department. Please review the following guide with your parent or guardian to make plans for February 20: Senior College and Career Planning Guide. As an additional resource, the WHS Counseling Department has also provided content that is reviewed each year with seniors during Group Guidance in April. You may view the presentation from last spring on the WHS Counseling website here: https://www.wayzataschools.org/whs/families/counseling/group-guidance.

Remember, this College/Career Planning Day provides an opportunity for you to explore, plan and prepare for next year.  We highly recommend that you spend the day making important college and career related choices.

If you have questions regarding the College/Career Planning Day or our WHS testing schedule, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Sue Iverson, Testing Coordinator
