Gymnastics, Girls


Description of sport: Competitive gymnastics in beam, floor exercise, bars and vault.

Where to go for more information: Activities Office.

Length of season: Practice begins November 11, 2019.

Practice times: 5:30-8 p.m.

Practice site: WHS gymnasium 9.

Competitions: Weekly competitions are usually on Thursday evenings; some invitationals are held on the weekends.

Eligibility requirements: Meet the MSHSL and Wayzata Public Schools Eligibility Requirements. Must be fully registered with the Activities Office. Eligible sports qualifying physical, eligibility form and fee payment must be on file in the Activities Office before participation.

Average number of members: Junior Varsity and Varsity: 20-22 gymnasts.

Costs and/or needed equipment: Participation fee.

Awards criteria and type of awards: Lettering requirements determined by head coach.

Student leadership: 2-3 are captains selected by the team.
