Description of sport: Competitive distance running consisting of varsity, JV, sophomore-freshman and middle school squads. The usual race distance is two to three miles.

Season commitment: Practice begins August 12, 2024 and continues nine weeks for JV and ten weeks for varsity. High School team practices and competes six days per week (five days for middle school) with 9-12 races during the season.

Eligibility requirements: Students in grades 7-12 who meet MSHSL and Wayzata Public Schools' Eligibility Requirements.

Tryouts/Cuts: No

Costs and/or needed equipment: Participation fee, wristwatch and good running shoes.
