Description of Activity: Intermezzo Blue, Intermezzo Silver, Intermezzo Gold, Camerata, Sinfonia, String, Chamber & Pit orchestras

Length of season: Full year for all except pit orchestra. See director for pit orchestra season information.

Competition and/or performance: Many students in grades 10-12 have the opportunity to participate in the MSHSL Solo and Ensemble Contest and/or the Lake Conference Orchestra Festival. All groups participate in at least three concerts per year. Chamber Orchestra has six concerts per year. The pit orchestra season typically includes one fall and one winter or spring show. See director for season information.
Eligibility requirements: Audition by teacher. Meet the Wayzata Public Schools Extra-Curricular Eligibility Requirements.
Average number of members: 35-45 per student group.
Costs and/or needed equipment: Musical instrument in playable condition (must meet minimal set-up guidelines) or rental fee. Concert attire as required by each group (all black - see director for details).
Awards criteria and type of awards: Students for meeting identified criteria may earn letters. Students can earn certificates and medals at the MSHSL Solo and Ensemble contest.
