Description of activity: With over 260,000 members, HOSA Future health professionals is an
international, student lead organization for students who are preparing to go into the healthcare field.
HOSA is committed to empowering its members to become leaders in the global health community
through learning, innovating, and serving.

Length of season: School year (September-June). 

Meeting times: Meetings will be twice a month. Members must attend one of the monthly meetings.
Meeting topics will consist of guest speakers, study workshops, social events, and informational
meetings about upcoming events and competitions.

Meeting site: A406 (Mrs. Toni Leland’s classroom)

Competitions/Events: November 4- Fall Leadership Conference (Brooklyn Center); January 4- Mid-
Winter Conference (St. Paul); April 5-6- State Leadership Conference (St. Cloud).

Average number of members: 100

Costs and/or needed equipment: Registration: WHS Participation fee of $55 and HOSA Club Additional
Fee of $40 (includes state and national student affiliation fees). Conference Participation: Cost of each
conference is separate (likely range $35-$175) to cover the registration fees and costs of overnight
accommodations for state competition.

Student leadership: Officer team selected by current leaders.
