Social-Emotional Learning Supports

We foster an equitable community where students feel they belong, are accepted and can persevere.

Overview

We empower students to:

  • Build on their strengths as empathetic learners.
  • Ensure our collective well-being and success.

Layers of support

  • Classroom teachers, counselors and other school support staff lead social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons for all students.
  • Teachers build on student strengths in the classroom, daily.
  • Students receive small group or individual support, as needed:
    • In the classroom, or
    • With building support staff
  • Students meet with therapists from Relate Counseling Center, as needed.

Support staff

  • Social workers
  • Counselors
  • Behavior specialists
  • Achievement specialists
  • Deans

Relate Counseling Center

  • Our district has a partnership with Relate Counseling Center.
  • Therapists from their practice can meet with our students at school.
  • This requires permission from a parent or guardian.
