Math Supports
We support students who need extra instruction to meet grade-level standards in math.
Levels of support
We work as a team to deliver targeted instruction to meet each student's needs.
The support may include:
- Classroom interventions
- Small-group sessions with a math specialist
- Foundational skills practice with trained support staff
Grades K-5
This is how that progression works in elementary school.
- Additional instruction from their classroom teacher during class time.
- Designated support time during the instructional day.
- Support from a math specialist in the classroom.
- Small group help outside the classroom from a math specialist.
Grades 6-8
This is how that progression works in middle school.
- Teachers provide targeted support in the classroom.
- Additional support is provided outside the classroom.
Grades 9-12
This is how that progression works in high school.

Targeted support from academic mentor during class time.

Specialized instructional support classes to address foundational skills.
- Get help in the Math Exploration Center (MEC) during the school day.
