Grades 6-8 Enrichment Opportunities
Each middle school has an enrichment specialist to support high-achieving students. They do this through a mix of academic challenges and social-emotional guidance.
Program components
- Classroom collaboration: Specialists work with teachers to provide "tiered" learning and advanced challenges in regular classes.
- Enrichment seminars: Open to students with a CogAT composite of 130+. Topics include stress management, self-advocacy and leadership.
- Accelerated math: Specialized pathways for advanced math learners.
- Optional activities: Various enrichment experiences and clubs available to all students.
Support and guidance
- Enrichment specialists provide emotional and organizational support.
- This support helps students navigate the unique transitions of middle school.
