Grades 2-5 Enrichment Opportunities

Each elementary school has an enrichment specialist to support students who consistently perform beyond grade-level standards.

Learning experiences

Enrichment specialists may pull students out of their regular classrooms for:

• Advanced academics: Targeted instruction in reading, math or both.
• Seminars: Small-group sessions focus on critical thinking and social-emotional growth.

Enrichment specialists and classroom teachers may work together to:

• Provide high-quality instruction and enrichment in the homeroom class.
• Maintain a schedule that supports growth while minimizing disruptions.
• Promote equitable access for all students across the district.

Identification criteria

We use a multi-layered process to identify students for specific enrichment services.
