PreACT

The PreACT measures academic progress toward college readiness and is aligned to the ACT.

Overview

The PreACT measures the same skill area as the ACT.  These include:

  • English convention and rhetorical skills
  • Reading comprehension
  • Math problem-solving
  • Science problem-solving

The purpose of the test is to:

  • Measure students' current academic development.
  • Help the student make plans for the remaining years of high school.
  • Find out how they would perform on the ACT test if they took it at that time.

How it works

  • We give it to all students in grade 10.
  • Students take this test online, using an iPad.
  • It is a timed test that typically takes 3 hours.
