PreACT
The PreACT measures academic progress toward college readiness and is aligned to the ACT.
Overview
The PreACT measures the same skill area as the ACT. These include:
- English convention and rhetorical skills
- Reading comprehension
- Math problem-solving
- Science problem-solving
The purpose of the test is to:
- Measure students' current academic development.
- Help the student make plans for the remaining years of high school.
- Find out how they would perform on the ACT test if they took it at that time.
How it works
- We give it to all students in grade 10.
- Students take this test online, using an iPad.
- It is a timed test that typically takes 3 hours.
Test results
Scores are shared in the assessments section of Skyward Family Access.
