FastBridge CBMreading measures early reading skills.

Overview

FastBridge CBMreading measures a student's proficiency in oral reading fluency and accuracy.

The purpose of the test is to:

  • Screen students for literacy support needs and identify students with characteristics of Dyslexia.
  • Measure student reading development across time.
  • Meet the screening requirements in the Minnesota Reading to Ensure Academic Development (READ) Act.

How it works

  • This test is given it to all students in grades 2 and 3, three times a year - fall, winter and spring.
  • Students test one-to-one with a staff person.
  • Student read three separate passages.
  • The test is timed and takes approximately 5 minutes.

Scores are shared in the assessments section of Skyward Family Access.
