FastBridge AUTOreading measures a student's automaticity with specific reading skills.
Overview
FastBridge AUTOreading measures essential reading skills. These include:
- Phonics
- Word Identification
- Vocabulary
- Morphology
The purpose of the test is to:
- Screen students for literacy support needs and identify students with characteristics of Dyslexia.
- Meet the screening requirements in the Minnesota Reading to Ensure Academic Development (READ) Act.
How it works
- The test is given to all students in grades 4-8, one time a year - fall.
- Students take this test online, using an iPad, desktop or laptop.
- Students complete 3-4 subtests depending on grade.
- It is a timed test that typically takes 10-15 minutes.
Test results
Scores are shared in the assessments section of Skyward Family Access.
